There could be several reasons why you're experiencing this issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
—————
Check your internet connection: Make sure that you're connected to a stable internet connection before downloading the update. Try restarting your modem or router if you're experiencing connectivity issues.
———
Check your storage space: Ensure that your Mac has enough storage space to download the update. If your hard drive is almost full, you may need to free up some space.
———
Check the date and time settings: Make sure that your Mac's date and time settings are correct. An incorrect date and time setting may cause problems with downloading updates.
———
Sign out and sign back in to the App Store: Try signing out of the App Store and then sign back in. To do this, open the App Store, click on the "Store" menu, and select "Sign Out." Then sign back in with your Apple ID.
———
Clear the App Store cache: Clearing the cache may help fix issues with the App Store. To do this, open the App Store, hold down the "Option" key on your keyboard, and click on the "Store" menu. Select "Clear Cache" and then try downloading the update again.
———
Try downloading the update from another location: If none of the above steps work, you can try downloading the update from another location. You can also try using a different internet connection, such as a public Wi-Fi hotspot, to see if that resolves the issue.
—————
If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
Hope it does work,
