Quicktime will not open - Not resolved from previous conversation
The issue is when you go launch quicktime, you are taken to the icloud folder and you cant click on the open as its greyed out so you cant launch it.

I think you may be misinterpreting what you are seeing. When you launch the QuickTime Player app, it starts with an Open dialog box, to select an existing media file to open. The app itself is already launched at that time. If you did not want to open an existing file, then click Cancel (and use the menus instead). If you did want to open an existing file, then navigate to one. QuickTime Player will start by presenting the last used folder, or else the folder for QuickTime files in your iCloud if there is no known “last used folder”. That folder in the Open dialog box may be empty if you haven’t saved any QuickTime files there. Use the controls in the sidebar to locate content on your local disk, if that is what you want.
