I have a iMac 2009 which I want to upgrade can I buy a Apple Mac mini Desktop M2 amd use the screen from my old computer?

I have an old iMac (2009) which I want to upgrade. The screen works perfectly well so I was wondering if I could buy an Apple Mac mini desktop M2 and use the screen from my old computer?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot use the old iMac as a monitor for the newest Mac mini.


Target Display Mode was deprecated by Apple several years ago, and no Mac made after 2019 supports the feature.
