I frequently need to upload photographs from my iMac to PowerPoint, Publisher, etc. I have most photographs in albums so I can find the ones I need quickly. Within the last few months something's changed and I can no longer display the photographs by album and am forced to scroll through all 8000 to find what I need. Is there some "Preference" or setting that will let me access the albums???? It's a lost cause on my iPad and iPhone. I can NEVER find a picture in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

That one of the new features in macOS 13 Ventura. The photo picker has been modified considerably, so it is easier to use the search when selecting photos for uploading.

Unfortunately, only the apps that have already been updated as well to be able to use the new photo picker correctly, are now able to show us the albums (fro example Mail or the iWork apps). Safari has been left out. There is nothing the users can do - we have to use the improved search fto find the photos we want. Serach for the filename or a keyword assigned to the photos. hen I want to access a photo from a different app I am keeping Photos open, find the photo in Photos then copy the filename to the clipboard and search for the filename in the upload dialog.
