I have created a number of rules in Mail to stop unwanted messages. I entered the information and selected DELETE as the action I want performed, but they still show up in my folders.
I understand that Mail's auto filter will put suspected junk in the Junk folder, but these are addresses I have SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN to be deleted.
How can I set rules that actually REMOVE selected messages?
I am using Big Sur 11.7.6.

If you want help debugging your Mail Rules you will need to post them.
It can be helpful to insert an action just prior to the Rule that deletes that message, to confirm that Rule is actually being executed. "Play Sound" is one obvious choice.
I have a similar issue. I create a rule and if I give focus to one email, click Message, and Apply Rules, the email is deleted. I want every the rules applied to every email as they come into my inbox.
How do I make sure that rules are applied as soon as the email comes in?
