Force restart iPhone 7

Press and hold both the Volume Down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Continue to hold those buttons until the Apple logo appears, release both buttons. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 

If the above does not resolve the camera issue, then contact 👉 Official Apple SupportOR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.

Hello!

This could potentially be a software issue. Restarting the iPhone— by holding the off button— might help. I myself have had a similar problem with my iPhone 7, where the camera worked in certain apps, but not others.

I’d suggest checking with other apps that can use the camera to see if its the actual Camera app that’s lagged or if it’s the camera on your phone itself.
