Unstable network - iPhone 11 (maxis)

Hi. recently my iPhone 11 got internet connection problem. the internet always got Egde and sometime shown 4G but no internet connection. My telco in maxis. Whenever i contacted customer service Maxis, they said they received so many reports regarding on the same problem which is from iPhone 11 users. So, this issue obviously is related to software compatibility, not the telco. Some said iPhone 11 does not support 5G.

Anyone got the same problem?

I did receive the advisor call back on the day after and told him my experiment result, he asked my to send a report via my phone and spotted out my battery status appear "service", he suggested I send my phone to service battery first, so I sent my phone after 2 days from that..

This is the report I received after I leave my phone to the service center.

They think is my mother board problem, well, and u can see the cost and u also can see I m using another not apple phone right now. Really disappointed by this issue.

If Ur Mother Board Failed after 3yrs using of the client, U Don't Take Any Responsible for that??

Ya we can change phone, but what I see is ur failing product and the way u "solve" it actually cause very negative result to our environment.

we have the same problem since early July. Called maxis and we have done network resetting, changed new sim and was told the issue was caused by Apple.

Called Apple and done diagnostic test but Apple was saying the device is fine from the test.

so what should we do now ? thinking to change to other provider like celcom or digi but some said it will be the same problem.

:((((

Extremely disappointed with apple at this point! Have tried everything - calling apple care, my telco company, resetting network settings, switching telos... nothing worked!! Apparently many iphone 11 users have this problem now! I got so upset that I actually bought a new S****ng phone. Problem was immediately solved. Apple, shame on you! You lost a customer.

I went to service centre today and they checked the phone and they concluded that cellular hardware issue was detected during the test.

as my phone is not within warranty to change the board it will cost me RM2k+

they also said many iPhone 11 users have the same issue and those within warranty can get it replaced.

I thought Apple is reliable. I’m so upset and disappointed now.

Dear Apple,

Since customers from other countries also having the same issue with iphone 11.

I think you should compensate us as we have paid so much and facing the issues that never been solved for months.

Telco company informed that it is iphone issue which we need to refer to Apple but until now I am still facing unstable phone line and data.

I didn't see any reply ( official or unofficial ) from Apple.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing internet connection issues with your iPhone 11 on the Maxis network. It's essential to determine the cause of the problem to find a solution. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your iPhone is running the latest iOS version. Sometimes, software updates can address network-related issues.

2. Reset Network Settings: Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset" > "Reset Network Settings." This will reset your network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords and cellular settings. Note that you'll need to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords after doing this.

3. Toggle Airplane Mode: Turn on Airplane Mode for a few seconds, then turn it off. This can refresh your device's connection to the cellular network.

4. Check SIM Card: Ensure that the SIM card is properly inserted and not damaged. You can try removing and reinserting it.

5. Contact Maxis Support: If the issue persists, get in touch with Maxis customer support again. Request them to check the status of your account and ensure there are no network-related problems in your area.

Regarding the compatibility of iPhone 11 with 5G, it's essential to note that iPhone 11 models do not support 5G. They are equipped with 4G LTE capabilities. However, this should not affect your ability to connect to 4G or have stable internet access.

If the problem persists after trying the troubleshooting steps above, it's advisable to reach out to Apple support. They can assist you in diagnosing the issue further and providing potential solutions or repairs if necessary.
