How can download the new iOS software

To update the software on your iPhone, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings App
2. Navigate to General
3. Click on Software Update

Your Phone will check if there are any updates available. If yes, Click Download and Install. Maybe there are popups, just read what it asks you. After that, you should be good to go. Your iPhone is now downloading and Installing the latest Software.

• If you have an iPhone 5S or 6/6plus, the highest you can update to is 12.5.7

• If you have an iPhone 6S through 7, you can update to 15.7.4

• If you have an iPhone 8 or higher, you can update to 16.4.1(a)

Can you post a screenshot of the whole screen, it could reveal why you aren't able to update.

Make sure you:

• Are using a WiFi connection (not a hotspot).

• You have an active cell signal (You need both WiFi and cellular service to perform the upgrade).

• Are not using a VPN connection.

• Have your battery charged at least 50%. Better yet, keep it plugged in during the update.

• Do not have power save mode turned on.

• Do not have a beta version installed.

• You have at least 10 gigs of storage available.

Deepthi, is your iPhone issue by your employer or another organization to you? If YES, then it may be managed by the employer (or another issuing organization) through a management profile. This may be preventing you from updating your iPhone and greying the update button. In this case, you should contact the IT administrator and question them about installing updates.
