Recover your Account:

Apple IDs cannot be merged. So, rather than using a new Apple ID, you should just use the old one on your prior phone. Having forgotten it, reset the password, and proceed from there with the log in. If you are locked out due tp too many incorrect passcode attempts, and/or if you have Two-Factor Authentication enabled, and are awaiting for a passcode, then contact Apple Support. Request that they change the phone number to what it should be. While on the phone, attempt a trial & error login session, prior to ending the call, just to be certain that all is successful.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
