iMac Internet speed not fast enough.

I have a 2019 iMac with Maximum hardware card Link Speed: 1 Gb/s .

My main home router receive 2.5GB Cyber speed.

Connected the router via 2.5GB switch and an Ethernet CAT8 cable (5Meters)

I'm using an adaptor between the ethernet cable and a USB-C as shown in the photo.

It seems that my highest speed is not more than 1.8BG.

Is there any Preferences to change for a higher speed ?

Macbook Pro M1 Slow Ethernet Did the 2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro end support for gigabit Ethernet? Regardless what adapter I use, my wired Internet connection tops out at 99 Mbps, but I'm paying for Gigabit that was consistently clocking between 700 and 950 before I got this computer (both direct to Ethernet port and using the same adapters). Previous Mac was a 27" 5K iMac 2019. WiFi is faster but nothing hits prior speeds.

Mac Studio M2 Internet Speed Throttled Hi I have a brand new 2 day old M2 mac Studio Base model. Im gettign my internet throttled down to about 90mbps with a ethernet connection cat6. I have my old imac 2015 sitting right next it and I can get my full 250mbps using the same cable. Ive tried manually setting up the network adapter using all kinds of settings. I'm drawing a blank on any other internet posts no solutions have worked. I dont want to use wifi as have no signal.
