What do the stars mean on this symbol in iPhotos?

When the Info button is having an additional star in Photos, it means that the artificial intelligence of Photos (the visual lookup) found additional information about the objects in the photos. When you open the info, and view the photo enlarged, you will see some background information. Typically there will be a badge overlay on the image, as long as the info is open. If the photo is showing a plant, there may be a leave in the center of the plant. Clicking it, will show the species of the plant. For example:
