Does increase line of credit affect credit score

Most banks do not do a hard pull of your credit report when you request a Credit Limit Increase. Hard pulls generate an inquiry, which is one of the factors that affects your FICO score. Goldman Sachs Bank (issuer and servicer of Apple Card) does not do a hard pull, but does a soft pull of your FICO 9 score from TransUnion.

Another factor in determining your score is credit utilization. A CLI increases you total available credit across all accounts, thus lowering your utilization. A lower Credit Utilization is a positive factor and may increase your score dependent on other factors and behaviors associated with you account.
