Mac book pro account locked

I have forgotten both my mac book password and disk data password

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.2

if you’ve forgotten the password to File Vault, and have no recovery key, erase and re-install macOS.


Per Apple:


The data is only accessible with that File Vault password, or with that recovery key.


Here is how to: Erase and reinstall macOS - Apple Support


If you also meet Activation Lock here, the Mac will be a brick without the Apple ID and password holding that lock.

Hi! To reset the password on your Mac, shut down your computer. Then press the power button to turn it back on. After you see the Apple logo, immediately hold Commond+R to enter Recovery Mode. Click Utilities in the top left corner and select the Terminal. Type resetpassword in the Terminal, and enter your new password. Restart your Mac, and enter your new password into the login window.
