iTunes Movie Trailers does not display showtimes

While using iTunes Movie Trailers, the “In Theaters” display will show the list of local theaters when “Theaters” is selected. But when any individual theater is selected from the displayed list, only the weekly calendar header is displayed, but no other data: No list of movies at the selected theater, no showtimes.

when “Movies” is selected in the “In Theaters” display, no list of movies is displayed; only the weekly calendar header at the top of the screen is displayed.

These are fellow user supported public communities and other than the Apple hosting team, Apple is not here to resolve any post.

Apple has shutdown the Movie Trailers website and application support that we were accustomed to over the years. It is now on Apple TV in very diminished capacity without any local theater or showtimes.

It appears no one is interested in fixing/ responding to the problem we are experiencing, Looking at the last release version of this app on AppleTv aka Trailers ver 1.0.3 - Released Oct 4, 2017 coming up on 6 yrs!

Viewing on the TWIT App, iOS Today #660 Jun 27,2023 Mika’s Sargent lists this app as one of the must have apps.. for AppleTv. The in theater feature would not work for him, getting “No Showtimes Today” after listing the theaters in his area, he thought it just needed time for the location feature to kick in….. The feature is non-functioning. Everything else appears to be functioning ok.. If it is a security feature it would be nice to know…Hope developer(s) are looking in at this post.

I am also experiencing this and it’s a total bummer. I loved how this app didn’t have all the noise other apps like it had. It’s was straight to the point. Watch a trailer or two, pick a movie, find a theater, and even buy the tickets.

Hoping Apple fixes this issue.
