Is there any option which shows that the mac is connected to Ethernet (like WiFi symbol) in the menu bar?

I think the best you can do is System Setting, select Network, and it will show Ethernet if you are connected.

There may be third party tools you can purchase to create icon in the toolbar but I am not aware of those.
