All Safari Tabs Disappeared

All of my 200+ tabs that were opened suddenly disappeared. I had many tabs still open from years ago. Many were important and memorable tabs. None of the tabs show up on recently closed as they crashed/disappeared by itself and I won't be able to use history to recover most of them as they're so old.

For context, before this happened, I was trying to take a picture but for some reason the camera app froze and showed a black screen. I refreshed the app and tried taking a picture again which seemed to work. A few minutes later, I opened Safari and realized all my tabs are gone. Looking at my camera roll now, the photo shows up as a blank grey screen. I'm not sure if the tabs disappearing is related to this but is there a way to recover the deleted tabs?

I had this problem just this week on my MacBook Air. The tabs open on my Air aren't synched to my iPhone, though the sync goes the other way. Any other options for finding the lost tabs? Thanks.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities jnlw,

If you're signed into another device with the same Apple ID, check Safari there to see if your tabs synced there.

Additionally, if you're encountering multiple issues with your iPhone, one of the first things to check if your iPhone's storage space.

Make sure you have enough storage
If your device is low on storage, iOS or iPadOS automatically frees up space while installing an app, updating iOS or iPadOS, downloading music, recording videos, and more. iOS or iPadOS only removes items that can be downloaded again or that aren't needed anymore.
You can check your device's storage in Settings > General > [Device] Storage. For best performance, try to maintain at least 1GB of free space. If your available storage is consistently less than 1GB, your device might slow down as iOS or iPadOS repeatedly makes room for more content.
If you need to free up some space, follow these steps to turn on the storage-saving recommendations built in to iOS or iPadOS:

1. Go to Settings > General > [Device] Storage and read the recommendations that iOS or iPadOS might provide.

2. Tap Enable to turn on a recommendation, or tap a recommendation title to review the content that you can delete.

If you don't see any recommendations — or if you need to free up even more space — you can review the apps on your device. They're listed on the same [Device] Storage screen along with the amount of space that they use.
Tap an app, then choose from the options:
* Offload the app, which frees up storage used by the app, but keeps its documents and data.
* Delete the app, which removes the app and its related data.
* Depending on the app, you might be able to delete some of its documents and data.

Moving forward, you may want to consider saving important websites as bookmarks. Bookmark a website in Safari on iPhone.

We hope this helps!
