iphone 12 front camera not working

My dad gave me his work phone (this one) and the front camera appears black on every app. Before he reset the phone the camera worked fine but when i got it I found out i couldn’t use the front camera. Just wanting to know what i can do or if anyone has any solutions. (the camera has never been dropped or damaged and is pretty much brand new)

iPhone 15 camera not working after updating to iOS 18.3.2 After updating to iOS 18.3.2 my iPhone 15 camera is not working. It shows only a black screen on both front and back cameras and does not take or store photos. I have restarted the camera and the iPhone several times and reset the settings, all without success. I am very reluctant to reset the phone to factory settings as it is always difficult to get back to it’s present state. Anyone else having this problem and how do I resolve?
