Two types of opening screens h sierra Mac mini
h sierra opens with white screen & black line then changes to black screen and white line Mac mini. Should be black screen. Any way to correct this?

No. I don't believe there is anything there to correct.
When the Mac boots, it begins with a very basic graphics driver, and switches to more modern drivers as the OS loads them from the startup drive. This is normal.
My Catalina MacBook Pro does exactly this same thing at startup. It's a non issue.
