Over-exposed video playback

I just read a long string from March 2022 stating the exact problem I’ve been having with iPad video playback (6th gen mini). Despite suggestions from Apple Tech, it was not resolved then, so trying again. When I receive videos in text messages, the initial appearance looks normal until I hit play—then it goes to an over-exposed orange-tinged brightness. Same video works just fine on my iPhone, and NO other videos on my iPad have this problem—only those received in text messages. Has anyone found a fix for this issue yet?
