ucdgrade/replace hard drive from 500GB to 2TB

Hi! I was wondering if its opportunities to send in my macbook pro and upgrade / replace hard drive to 2TB I know have 500GB and that's not enough.

Ask your Apple Store, or Apple Authorized Service Center if they will perform this for you and the cost estimate. They probably won't do it, and if they do, the total cost will be exorbitant.


Alternatively, and at much less expense, purchase an external Crucial X8 USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 SSD (1050MB/s) and move the large data from your internal drive to the external device. You can relocate large Photos libaries in this manner to liberate space on the internal drive. Crucial has these X8 drives up to 4 TB in size and they are exceptional fast. I use several.
