Is there any way to decline the new iCloud Terms of Service?

I have never used the iCloud service on my iPhone. I don’t want to use it.

Ever since the last iOS update it’s been nagging me to accept or decline the new TOS. Except that it won’t let me decline, it just bounces me back up a level in settings where it tells me I need to accept or decline the new iCloud TOS.

Protestations to the contrary, you are still using iCloud.

iCloud is far more than backups. Much more. Apps, photos, contacts, passwords, all sorts of stuff can or does.

Either shut off all use of iCloud in Settings (as was described), or accept the T&C.

Or return the iPhone and acquire a feature phone that does not use cloud services, of course.

I have never used iCloud nor any of its “services”. The very first day I got the phone and tried to set up syncing with my laptop it HAD to do a back up first and it was larger than the free space iCloud gives so I reset the phone and set it up without using iCloud services. I cannot turn off app usage in Settings as I must accept or decline the new TOS except it won’t let me.

When I enter I get this:

When I select Terms and Conditions I get:

When I select “Decline” it kicks me back to the previous screen.

. . . and it was larger than the free space iCloud gives

Yes, you do use iCloud service, such as when you turn ON iCloud to get the 5 GB free, see -> How to use iCloud on iPhone -> How to use iCloud on iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

If you use another brand of smartphone, you must also accept the Terms of Service.
