How to update a New IOS update on Series 8 Apple Watch

iOS is for iPhone. WatchOS is for Apple Watch. I suspect your iPhone needs to be updated. For a Series 8 watch to be able to pair with your iPhone, your iPhone must be updated to at least iOS 16. This means you must own at least an iPhone 8 or newer.
