email contacts

I don't want to use iCloud for my contacts, how do I use my Outlook email contacts instead? Note, my sink does not work.

Thank you

Hey bbqnut13,

Depending on the device you're using, you can add your Outlook contacts via one of the means below:

For iOS devices: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Set up your contacts account

You can set up your email accounts to share contacts with the Contacts app. If you have a contacts account, like a business or school directory, you can set that up, too.

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts.
  2. Tap Add Account.
  3. Tap the service that you have an account with. Or tap Other to set up a contacts account, like an LDAP or CardDAV account.
  4. Enter your information and password.
  5. Tap Next.

If you have multiple accounts set up in the Contacts app and want to see contacts for a specific one, open Contacts and tap Lists in the upper-left corner."

For Macs:

Add a new account

  1. In the Contacts app  on your Mac, choose Contacts > Add Account.
  2. Select an account type or, if you don’t see your account type, select Other Contacts Account, then click Continue.
  3. The list of internet account types you can add to the Contacts app: iCloud, Exchange, Google, Yahoo, AOL, and Other Contacts Account.
  4. Enter your account information.
  5. Make sure the Contacts checkbox is selected for the account.

Add an account you already use on your Mac

  1. In the Contacts app  on your Mac, choose Contacts > Accounts to open Internet Accounts settings.
  2. Select the account you want to use on the left, then select the Contacts checkbox on the right.

If you have trouble adding your account or if the account won't sync properly, we'd advise contacting Microsoft Outlook support directly for assistance.

Take care.
