Hey Garfieldthecat,

Thanks for that additional information.

Going forward, we do want to let you know that music would not be transferred using Quick Start. Music that was purchased from the iTunes Store would need to be redownloaded after setting your iPhone back up, while music that was synced from iTunes or Finder on a Mac, can be resynced after completing the set up.

For help with redownloading your music if purchased from the iTunes Store, check out this link here: Redownload music

Redownload music in the iTunes Store app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Open the iTunes Store app.
* On your iPhone or iPod touch: At the bottom of your screen, tap More More button, then tap Purchased.
* On your iPad: Tap Purchased.
2. Tap Music. If you use Family Sharing, tap a family member’s name to see music that they purchased.
3. Find the music that you want to redownload, then tap it.
4. Tap the download button Download button next to a song or album.

Don't see the music that you purchased?

We hope that's able to help.

Best regards.

No thanks, I was looking for a way to put all the music stored on my iPhone (a lot that was not purchased at Apple), without paying a monthly fee......I just want to know if "quick start" will transfer "all my music" to

the new phone......You know; you lay the two phones side by side and begin the transfer.... and does it

automatically transfer everything, including notes, photos, music?
