Cannot send files to Android Phones

I have the issue all the time now with this device. What in these systems upgrades has Apple done to prevent file and photo sharing from iPhones to android has the Apple corporation done?

SMS/MMS is a phone carrier feature, that you pay them monthly, you don't pay Apple that.

It is not just phones but also desktop computers. I cannot send attachments such as Excel, Word, PDF files, or photos to a collaborator who uses Android. This is a selfish innovation by Apple that can only drive loyal users away.
