mac move a contact
On my mac I am running macOS Big Sur.
In Contacts, how do I move a contact from All Contacts to a particular group?

Yes. it's a regular group. I added a new group and when I dragged the contact to that new group, the group name became highlighted but the contact did not get copied there. Note that when I try to drag the contact to an existing group no highlighting or anything else happens.
While I was writing that I had a thought to quit Contacts and try it again. That didn't help but force-quitting corrected the problem. Thanks for trying to help.
