Hotspot from Ethernet

I am connected to the internet via Ethernet. I want to give a hotspot from this connection. But when I choose Internet sharing, none of the options are choosable.

Also, is it possible to give hotspot to non-apple users?

I think you have to change the setup with it off. I’m not at a Mac to check to be sure.
