iPad and Linksys WRT300N

Hello all! 🙂

So i got my iPad yesterday, and am soo happy with it!
Only problem is, i can't connect to the internet.
I have a Linksys WRT300N model, and this router works fine with all iPhones, iPod Touches, and laptops in my house. Only my iPad seems to have problems.
Whenever i connect to the router, the wifi icon in the topleft corner shows up.
I can go to 1 website, and then it stops.
The Wifi icon still shows, but the website keeps loading till i get the 'Safara cannot open page'
message. Wikipedia says my router is a: '802.11n "draft" MIMO router with 100 Mbit/s switches' Maybe this is not supported by the iPad ?
And i don't think the problem is my iPad, because i have checked my iPad at 2 of my friends networks (routers), and that works great!
So the weird this is, iPad does connect to the router, but somehow not to the internet.
All help is really appreciated!

What settings do you have on your router? These include:
encryption/security
Mode - n, g. b or mixed
Channel
any spread spectrum set

When you think you are connected what IP address is listed under network connections. If it starts with a 169 that is not good.

Does the website actually start downloading and some of it appear on the page?

I note that the original poster's problem is solved, but I contribute this offering in case it saves someone else a bit of grief.

I've had my iPad for about a week, and found that it was "unable to connect" with my Linksys WRT300N (Version 1). It could see the router, albeit at low signal strength but would not connect. I tried everything I could find on forums - no joy. (It works OK with other routers I have tried). This evening I was about to plunge into a DD-WRT adventure (and I still might for the **** of it) when on a whim tried one more setting change.

I disabled uPnP.

Instantly, full signal connect! Much celebration - but still confused as to why this worked.

I have a linksys cisco WRT610N ver .2 router, and had the same problems with my ipad2 and new MacAir. However, I could connect via my iphone 4 (iOS4.3.3) and my wife's iphone 4 (iOS 4.3), and my ipad1 (iOS 4.3.2). I've tried everything, from disabling the security, to setting it to b/g, to AES and did not work. Even the WMM above didn't work. The ipad2 and MacAir recognised the router, but can't seem to connect. Only when I checked the router's wireless MAC filter setting, and realised it was "Enabled" (wondered who did this?). When I disabled it, the EVERY DEVICE connected smoothly, and with the security setting.

I have another router at home, and it is also a n router, with WPA-2 Personal setting. Had no problems with all my device logging to it even with security on.

Hope the above provides some relief to you guys.
