If not everyone in the group chat has an iPhone can I still rename the group chat!

If not everyone has an iPhone, that means it’s a Non-iMessage group, and therefore you will not be able to name it. Unfortunately, only iMessage groups can be named.

Does this also apply after the ios17 update? Because it’s now showing me that option, but I’m not sure how that affects others in the group chat.

I am wondering if everyone can see what I name the group in the chat.
