Iphone4 camera flash not working

Hi all.

I'm new here so please be gentle.

I picked up my shiny new Iphone 4 yesterday and have only just had chance to have a play. It would appear the flash on the camera will not work.

I've searched these forums and can't see anyone saying the same. People mention about it lighting up at the wrong time etc but mine does nothing.

Can anyone pleeease help?

When you go to camera, there is a little touch-select displayed in the upper left corner. Turn it to "on" and try it.

If it still doesn't work, you can go to Settings, General, reset, reset. this will reset everything.

If it still doesn't work, take it to an apple store for testing and corrective action.

Hi.

When you say it resets everything what do you actually mean? Do I lose contacts, apps etc? Or does it just reset settings?

No. It resets all the other settings to factory spec. Your data will remain.

Your apps icons may be rearranged, but not lost.

Hi.

Thanks again but it made no difference to the flash. What a ball ache.

Guess I'll go exchange it tomorrow. Let's hope they have stock.
