When i want to import vertical footage it will get overexposed

When I want to import vertical MOV footage from my iPhone 12 pro max and I want to import it into final cut pro. In the timeline the footage will get overexposed. I tried to convert the footage beforehand to MP4, but this doest make a difference. I don't have this problem with horizontal footage from my camera. Can somebody help me? Jennifer

Final Cut Pro: Export is Overexposed I recorded a video with an iPhone 14 Pro. I edited in FCP and when I try to export it either comes out with lame quality or overexposed. I changed my library property to Wide Gamut HDR. I'm exporting Format: Computer Video Codec: H.264 (single pass) Resolution 1920 x 1080 Wide Gamut Rec 2020 It's for youtube. I've watched all sorts of videos but ultimately don't understand all this. Please help! And any times for how to shoot with my phone and export in final cut more seamlessly next time would be greatly appreciated :)

Lowered Bitrate after editing Video on iPhone (12 mini) Hey guys, let's say I recorded a 4K 30FPS video on my iPhone 12 mini. File size according to iOS: 150MB If I save it to iCloud via the Files App, it actually is 150MB. Now I edit the Video in the iOS Photos app. Let's say I just increase the Brightness by 1. If I now save the edited Video to iCloud, the file size is now 50MB. The original video has a birate of 40Mbps. The edited video has a bitrate of 13 Mbps. Hence the lowered file size. Problem is, that it significantly reduced the video quality. Why does that happen and how do I get a "full" bitrate version of the edited Video? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds as if the vertical video was shot in HDR and the project is SDR. These videos by Mark Spencer will explain working with HDR media.
