I can't add favorites in contacts on my iPhone 14 Plus

The number of favorite contacts is 50. If you have reached that limit, you’ll not be able to add anymore. If you don’t see a ‘+’ sign on the upper left of your ‘favorite’ page, you have reached your limit. Delete some contacts and you’ll be able to add favorites again.

I had this issue, too.

It seems that there's a limit of 50 favorites.

I deleted a few and was then instantly able to add.

Make sure that there is a phone number in one of the phone number fields. I tried to add a Contact to Favorites which didn't have a phone number and Add to Favorites did not show. As soon as I added a phone number, Add to Favorites did show.

I just did a software update and it solved the problem. Check to see if there’s an update available on your phone.

I’ve had the same issue too so I tried deleting contacts from my favorites, mainly because these people were no longer my favorite people. I was then able to add my NEW favorite people in their place. Hope this works for you.

Go to + in Favorites, find the item in Contacts, click on it to get the add to favorites selection, click on phone (if you want phone #, etc.,) and it is added!!!

It's not working. I've tried it through the "+" button on the Favorites screen and I've tried the "Add to Favorites" button on the contacts card.

It's not being added to the favorites. I only have 19 numbers in Favorites. I doubt it's a space limitation. Surely, there must be people with a lot more favorites than I have.

After I've "Added" a number to my Favorites, the phone number in the Contact Card shows a "star" next to it which, presumably, means that number is now a favorite but it still doesn't show up on my list.

@tkccc, that still does not work and, … and -> usually ends up just stuck on loading. Something is causing a glitch.

It works on my iphone 12.

Pretty sure everyone tried that before coming on here, as it’s the obvious way of adding favourites. The fact that this post exists shows that it is not working for lots of people.

That does not helped to my 13 Pro max. I will try to update a software, hope it will help. Seems that there is a glitch in a ios.

That’s not the issue. I only have a handful of favourites. It simply will not allow me to add any more.
