Problems with bluetooth Apple mouse (can't scroll)and keyboard since upgrading to Ventura

Neither mouse or keyboard will show in My Devices/Nearby Devices under Bluetooth settings. Mouse works partially, in that I can move pointer but can't scroll. Keyboard works. Bluetooth icon in Menu Bar is always crossed over even though Bluetooth is on.

I have disabled wifi, so no interference from that.

Hey @Zoulfly,

Sorry to hear about your Bluetooth woes. This sounds frustrating indeed. Since you've already checked for possible interference from WiFi, let's try a few other things.

First, try resetting the Bluetooth module by holding down Shift + Option, and clicking the Bluetooth menu bar icon. You'll see a "Debug" option. Click on "Reset the Bluetooth module".

If that doesn't work, try booting your iMac in Safe Mode, like dialabrain suggested, then restart normally. Sometimes, this clears up such issues. If all else fails, it might be worth checking if there's a software update available that could fix this issue.

Good luck!
