Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand when you use the skipping feature on your Sony headphones it continues to skip forward no matter what you do. If this is occurring in multiple apps, you may want to test to see if it occurs when you use your headphones with another device. If so, this would isolate the issue to your headphones and we recommend contacting Sony for further assistance.
If it only occurs when using your iPhone, we recommend updating to the latest version of iOS to see if the issue persists after doing so. Here's how if needed: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

- Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
- Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
- If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
- Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."
