Apple ID balance not being accepted for iCloud + subscription

I have an amount of Rs. 1800 in my other Apple ID which is logged into another device. When I try to buy iCloud plus subscription in my other device using the ID that’a logged in that device and has a balance of Rs. 1800, I see the option of Apple ID balance while purchasing iCloud + subscription but no response is received after tapping Apple ID wallet option.

How to redeem Apple ID balance for purchasing iCloud+ subscription?

Balance is used automatically to pay for media and iCloud items, but some items may not be charged to account balance. Apple does not specify.

Some purchases aren’t charged to your Apple Account balance

- If you're in a Family Sharing group, purchases that you make are charged to your personal Apple Account balance. If you don't have enough Apple Account balance to pay for the purchase, the remainder is charged to the family organizer if purchase sharing is turned on.

- You can’t use your Apple Account balance to buy gifts or gift cards.

- Some subscriptions might not be charged to your Apple Account balance.
