Lost Airpods along with an Airtag, wrong location on the Finder app

Hello,

I lost my airpods charging case which is in a protective case along with an Airtag

On the very same day I lost them, the Finder app wasn’t displaying a location for them that made sense (600km away from where I lost them, which is the exact location I was about a week prior to loosing them.)

Ever since then, the app still displays them at the same place and tells me that they were seen 600km away every time I turn on the « notify if seen » feature…

Could it mean that someone found them and disabled their tracking to steal them? A poor network reception where they are lost?

ps : The airpods (not the case) are not lost but they have no battery and still are shown 600km away

About AirPods and Find My:

If Find My was enabled with these, then note that the local shown is based off of the last time the device they were connected to that itself was connected to the internet. This is because AirPods are not assigned their own IP Address.. So, you will only see them located in that device's location.
