Disabling Auto Crop on Photos
It wouldn’t let me reply to the original post about this, but if you want to avoid the auto-crop feature, all you have to do is select the picture you want to crop and then click:
- Edit
- Click the cropping icon on the bottom, it’s the third icon.
- Then at the top, click the overlay boxes icon, the one to the right of the word “auto” at the top of the screen.
- Once you click that, then options at the bottom will come up for size, select freeform.
- You can freely crop your photo now.
Yes, it’s a little bit of a hassle, but at least the option is there. I hope eventually Apple allows this setting freely so that we don’t have to manually select to be able to manually crop. It’s silly.
