Mac running ventura 13.3.1, FCP 10.6.5
I found a solution on YouTube. It was hanging because of a conflict with accusonus, an audio plugin I got for Adobe audition. I had a devil of a time finding all instances of that plug-in everywhere but managed to trash all and fcp is working again. It never worked in Audition but didn’t make it hang or crash.
Have you tried to force quit the app? Sometimes this can help.
Validating AU plugins. There have been dozens of threads in this. Two I think today. Search the forum for various answers
Where exactly doors it hang? How far do you get and happens when you get there?
And trash tote Prefshold Opt-Cmd as you launch the application.
