Apple CarPlay connection with Wireless or USB

CarPlay have 2 way to connection, below is my concept, do anyone have more detial about this for me ?

Wireless : through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connect to car computer device Apple Authentication 3.0 Coprocessor to build a session ?
USB : User plug iPhone to CarPlay USB receptacle to connect with Car computer then Apple Authentication 3.0 Coprocessor will verify us and create a session success ?

AFAIK, Apple doesn’t document the hardware internals of CarPlay outside of the MFi licensing program, and the CarPlay app developer stuff outside of the developer APIs. If you’re in the MFi program as might be inferred, then maybe use a MFi support ticket for whatever connection issue you’re chasing?
