keyboard IT US

Hello,

I bought an Apple MacBook Pro 2018 | 15.4" | Touch Bar | 2.9 GHz | 32 GB | 512 GB SSD | Radeon Pro 560X.

I don't understand what is the correct keyboard layout because the key in top of the tab is "\|" but when I press the button it prints < and > with shift.

The attachment IMG_5714 - dimensioni grandi.jpeg shows the keyboard of mac.

I tried to set any software keyboard input layout possible without success.

Now I configured Italian input layout (Screenshot 2023-05-18 alle 13.59.45.png).

Can you help me to find the correct configuration?

Thank you,

Walter

Where did you get this machine? The keyboard is non-standard. It has the Italian keys but has the ANSI/US physical format. Apple does not make that, so no layout will fit it right. It should be ISO/European, with an extra key next to z and a vertical enter key, like below. If you can return it, you should do so. Otherwise it may be necessary to make a custom keyboard for it with Ukelele.
