I share a calendar with my wife. When one of us adds an event to the calendar, it used to show up under the Inbox as an Invitation allowing us to know something has been added and requiring acceptance. Now it just shows up on the calendar with no notification. It was useful to know a new event has been added. How do I get the Inbox working again?

Are you sharing an Apple ID? We ask because this can cause syncing issues between devices.
If you are sharing an Apple ID, we'd recommend creating a separate Apple ID, and setting up Family Sharing:

If you already have separate Apple IDs, let's try closing the Calendar app on each device and restarting which can help:
