Will Macs soon be able to playback HEVC footage without stutter / lag or edit it in Premiere Pro? I just got the 2023 MacBook Pro M2 Max and am still getting stutter / lag playing back HEVC in QT Player / Preview or editing it in Premiere Pro.

Mac Studio M2 VLC MKV HEVC x265 video stutter Brand new Mac Studio M2, 64gb ram, VLC can't playback MKV HEVC x265 videos without stuttering. All software is up to date. File is stored locally on the internal drive. My old 2010 cheese grater could play these files back flawlessly. How is this not working?

Is their a fix in pro audio formats coming soon for the new mavic 4 pro 6k mode When recording 6K at 60fps (H.264 All-I or H.265), only Premiere Pro and Handbrake could read the files properly. Final Cut Pro cant read them and they show up as black screens only. Even on a top-spec MacBook Pro M4 Max that usually cuts through any kind of footage in an instant, transcoding took hours. Dropping the resolution to 4K 60fps made transcoding five times as fast. Clearly, something’s not right — whether it’s a codec issue or a lack of QuickTime support, it’s a workflow headache.

You'll need to ask actual Apple corporation for answers about wanted features.

You'll be better served by going to an Adobe user site dedicated to their apps if you're having problems with one.
