What is the reason for the ipad 3 glitching

My ipad which I believe is a ipad 3 is glitching so bad. It is doing stuff by itself for no reason the device is in perfect shape and has no reason to glitch I even restarted the thing. Also I wanted to mention I plan on getting the generation 4 SE when it comes out. This because the generation 3 SE isn't all that much different from the generation 2 se which I had. The SE second generation I had also broke so I am waiting until the 4th gen SE comes out to buy that one.

Your footer here shows iOS 9, which is consistent with an iPad 3rd gen from 2012.

Likely either running iOS 9.3.5, or 9.3.6.

Very old. iPadOS 16.5 is current.

If you have a case or screen-protective film, remove all that, and see if the problems persist.

Sometimes the cases or the films can interfere with the touch screen.

If the problems do persist, your iPad is quite possibly failing.

Get a backup soonest, and expect to replace it with a newer (used, refurb) or new iPad.

A decade-old iPad is not worth repairing.

Sorry, but I think there is a small misunderstanding: the current iPad is generation 10 and there is no SE model. See the iPad page here:

The iPad 3 was introduced in 2012 and support ended in 2019. So, there could be a myriad of possibilities of why it is glitching. So let's make sure that is the model you have.
