I spoke to Apple about this and it’s not Apple. I have several subscriptions coming due in March 2024. I had not chosen to renew nor cancel the app. My conversation with a senior
“billing manager” (this may not be correct title). The repeating bills
that are identical amounts are the initial billing then the reversal or refund of the same amount but they both appear as “-0.00” so it appears to be 2 charges, if you look at the balance it
doesnt change much. The change is due to your bank charging fees for the outgoing and incoming “billing and reversal/refund” I was furious with Apple untill I realized it’s the banks actions seemingly to collect fees in the amount of $2-5 a day for the last
year or so. I physically canceled my subscriptions (settings, your name, subscriptions) then choose the
subscriptions to either cancel or renewal. I wanted to see if once
canceled the bank continues to bill daily or weekly for charges that should only be monthly. On Tues. Feb 20,2024 I spoke with Apple and canceled several apps I didn’t plan
to renew. Today is Sunday the 25th and I have yet to receive another bill. If you look at your Apple billing history (Settings, media and purchases, view account, enter your Apple ID)you will see if apple is actually billing you. My guess it’s your bank to 1. Charge unnecessary fees, or 2. There’s a breakdown between the automatic payment system of the banks and the frequency of app charges.
