If you do not want to trust the app developers to protect the information provided—and in the absence of privacy regulations akin to those of the EU—your remaining option is to not use the app.


This if there's no means to provide site-specific information.


As an example of site-specific information, creating and using a site-specific password or a passkey means you're not vulnerable to wider problems from password mis-handling or a password breach at the site.
