Canon MG3620

More of a comment then a question. I spent several hours on the phone trying to get my new printer to work with Mac Ventura 13. Nope. I see it in the list but it does not work with it. Just be aware

Hi,

Also, it would probably be correct to assume that you are referring to the About AirPrint - Apple Support list. Is the printer connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as the Mac computer? If so, AirPrint should allow you to print without an additional driver.

If necessary, you may have to try a full power cycle sequence (do not forget the router):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, and all Macs/iPhones/iPads/other devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on all Macs/iPhones/iPads/other devices.

What year and model Mac do you have?

What system are you running?

So we don't try to reinvent the wheel, what have you tried to get the Canon to work?

As a first attempt have you tried the directions in this Apple document: Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support

Yea. Connected to same network. And yes I did all that, the computer, the phones the router all off and back on. I’ve Been trying to fix this issue for almost two weeks. I had a computer tech come yesterday. The “offline” issue continues even though the blue light on the printer was on. The computer says it can’t find the printer even when it is connected to the printer with the USB cord. I have plugged it into all the ports. I changed cords. I tried wireless. Nothing.

I called Canon yesterday and was on the phone for 2 hours. The tech guy on the phone had me download new drives. After several attempts, He told me that since the new OS update their printers were having problems and it was apples fault. Of course it’s always the “other guys” fault. This has been my real life experience with the MG3620.

I can’t return the canon printer, according to the canon representative.

I bought an HP yesterday. Will set it up today and am hoping for better results.
