i thought I had all privacy settings set correctly yet on Facebook I still get targeted ads on things I talk about. I exchanged a propane tank today and now saw an ad for propane exchange.
Can someone please tell me what I need to do to stop this?

Stop using Facebook or at least the app.
Facebook is an advertising company.
They track you and your preferences and sell that information to advertisers.
It is how they make money since they don’t charge you for their site.
Stop using Facebook? That’s how Facebook makes money, and that’s why Facebook is a $30 Billion company, in spite of the fact that they don’t sell anything. And settings you make on an iPhone won’t be honored by Facebook, which sells your personal information to advertisers. You can try to set privacy settings on Facebook’s website, if you can figure out what the settings mean. There’s a saying in Internet marketing: If you aren’t paying for something, YOU are the product.
CORRECTION: Facebook is a $116 billion compamy.
