Process FindMyWidgetPeople prevents mac from going to sleep!

I would like to follow up on this thread: process findmywidgetpeople prevent mac fr… - Apple Community

I'm having the exact same issue, but the thread does not bring any solution to this problem. I completely deactivated the findMy App and location based services, but it's still the same. When I use tools such as Sleep Aid, to monitor what is going on while my mac is sleeping, it shows the following:

So my mac is literally sleeping 0% of the time, which is killing the battery in no time.

The exact name of the process/error is: xpcservice<com.apple.findmy.FindMyWidgetPeople([osservice<com.apple.notificationcenterui.agent(501)>:1273])(501)>229-1273-162:[findmy.FindMyWidgetPeople-CC2DE5C0B44C]

Can someone please assist?

Don't have a Genius bar where I live, is this something they can help me fix?

Thank you all.

Did you remove the FindMy Widget? Click the day / time on the top right of the menu bar. Click Edit Widgets at the bottom and remove the FindMy Widget. Also turn off Find My Mac in iCloud?

I know this is an old thread, but in case it helps someone. For whatever reason, this combination worked for me. I force closed “Notification Center” in the activity monitor since the findmypeople widget was blank and not loading.

Then reopened the widgets and re-added the findmypeople widget. Clicked on a person in the widget. Found that it was asking if I wanted to share my location with people who had shared with me. Answered the open questions.

Removed the widget. Rebooted. Not sure exactly which part of this was the golden ticket, but it worked for me after about an hour of searching and trying.

I have the same problem that runningboardd / com.apple.findmy.FindMyWidgetPeople prevents my MacBook Pro from sleep.

I removed the FindMy Widget and Find My Mac is disabled in iCloud but I still have the problem.

Here is the corresponding line from pmset -g assertions:
