iMac/Safari

On the start page of Safari, it says that Safari has not detected any trackers in the last seven days. Safari can hide your IP address from known trackers.

Is it done automatically, or is there a setting for this? If so, is it a good idea to set this setting on?

If you check the log on Safari, it says different Google search.

Is that correct, and is Safari the same as Google search engine?

Does the Imac log out automatically when you turn it off, or do you have to log out first?

See who was blocked from tracking you in Safari on Mac

You can see who’s been blocked from tracking you when you visit a website.

  1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, enter the website’s name or URL in the Smart Search field.
  2. Click the Privacy Report button  in the toolbar.

For a Privacy Report that shows a list of known trackers who’ve been blocked from tracking you, choose Safari > Privacy Report.

Safari and Google are NOT the same. But all browsers do the same sorts of things.

Safari's security is some of the very beet and its default setting are going protect you.

You can see and change if allowed, all Safari settings by opening Safari, clicking "Safari" in the top menu and selecting "Settings".

Open system Preferences and search on "Safari" to see what's there.

You are free to change all Apple allows changes to. In my opinion, security is not one of them to mess with. But, that's just paranoid ol' me.

Thanks a lot, but is this tracking blocking automatic in Safari - or is it a setting that has to be turned on?

Should all the settings on iMac and Safari be set on default for best use and safety?

How can you see if a setting is on default or not?

Can you set all the settings on iMac and Safari on default in one operation for both of them in a restore default settings obtion?
