How are you attempting to verify your account? If your want to verify your external account, then you need to contact an Apple Savings account specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank,

You can also verify your Apple Savings account using your external account. This allows me to transfer (push) funds from my external account to Apple Savings account. I also verified it for transferring (pull) funds from Apple Savings to my external account. I did this with several accounts, including Chase, 5/3, Wells Fargo and several investment accounts. I used the banks app or website to verify by Apple Savings account. Some external accounts may not support this verification.

It takes a few days for it to connect. It might need to verify your account is yours first.
